Custom Fujifilm Recipe: Classic Diner

Like warm mettled butter and maple syrup cascading over a mountain of flapjacks, few places drip nostalgia as the dive diner.

I cherish the classic diner’s look, feel, taste, and smell and wanted to capture that essence in some images while visiting Vancouver. I whipped up this film simulation in the moment and am so pleased with the results.

Classic Diner relies on newer Fujifilm simulations and features, like the Classic Negative sim and Color Chrome effect, and some other adjustments to create a nostalgic, vintage look.

These images were taken as JPEGS with the X-T30 and adjusted lightly in CaptureOne. A matte S-curve was applied to complete the look.
